Preserving Heritage. Empowering Communities. Advancing Sustainable Development.
BHACDI Initiative works across interconnected development sectors to strengthen community systems, enhance resilience, and promote inclusive and sustainable development across African communities.
Our interventions are designed to respond to real community needs through participatory approaches, local partnerships, and capacity-building strategies that ensure long-term impact.
Communities are stronger when people have the opportunity to participate in decisions that affect their lives and when barriers to inclusion are addressed.
BHACDI supports approaches that promote inclusive community development, social cohesion, civic participation, and equitable access to opportunities. We seek to work with communities and local stakeholders to understand priorities, identify challenges, and support solutions that are locally relevant and responsive to community needs.

Young people are important contributors to the present and future of their communities. However, many face barriers to skills development, employment, leadership opportunities, and meaningful participation.

BHACDI supports efforts to preserve, document, safeguard, and promote cultural heritage and community knowledge. Our interest includes both tangible and intangible heritage, including oral histories, indigenous knowledge, traditions, languages, cultural practices, archives, and heritage assets.

Peace is more than the absence of conflict. Communities are stronger when people can communicate across differences, build trust, resolve tensions constructively, and participate in decisions that affect their lives.
In communities facing social, religious, political, ethnic, economic, or generational differences, weakened trust can create misunderstanding, division, exclusion, and tension. At the same time, communities often possess strong local relationships, leaders, traditions, and networks that can provide a foundation for dialogue and peaceful coexistence.
BHACDI Initiative seeks to support and strengthen these community-based pathways to peace, trust, and social cohesion.
Our approach is grounded in dialogue, inclusion, mutual understanding, community participation, and constructive engagement.
BHACDI supports approaches that promote economic inclusion, skills development, livelihood opportunities, adaptive capacity, and community resilience in the face of social, economic, and environmental challenges.
