Applications for THE NEXT INTERNET – Nigeria School on Internet Governance 2026 are now open.

The School is proposed to take place from 28 September 01 October 2026 and will bring together participants from across Nigeria’s Internet ecosystem, including civil society, academia, government, the technical community, private sector, media, and other stakeholders interested in Internet governance and digital policy.

Participation will be designed to support meaningful engagement by emerging and experienced stakeholders, with particular attention to diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and representation across Nigeria’s Internet community.

Please note: The programme is currently undergoing final confirmation and participation arrangements. Submission of an application does not constitute confirmation of selection or participation. Final programme arrangements will be communicated to selected participants following confirmation of the School.

Who Can Apply?

Potential participants may include:

Civil society and nonprofit organisations
Government and public-sector representatives
Academia and researchers
Internet technical community
Private-sector representatives
Digital rights and policy practitioners
Youth and emerging Internet governance leaders
Media and other stakeholders engaged in digital policy

Application Process

Review the eligibility and participation requirements.
Complete the online application form.
Submit the required information before the stated deadline.
Applications will be reviewed against the School's participation criteria.
Selected participants will receive confirmation and further programme information.
