Introduction to Internet governance, its evolution, key institutions and why governance matters for Nigeria's digital future.
Understanding the roles of government, civil society, academia, the technical community and the private sector in Internet governance.
Mapping Nigeria's key Internet governance actors, institutions, policy processes and opportunities for participation.
A participatory exercise exploring how different stakeholders influence Internet-related decisions.
Exploring freedom of expression, access to information, privacy, participation and other rights in the digital environment.
Understanding personal data, responsible data governance, privacy frameworks and emerging challenges in Nigeria.
Examining cybersecurity, digital trust, online safety and the responsibilities of different Internet stakeholders.
Exploring content moderation, intermediary responsibility, misinformation, harmful content and the governance of digital platforms.
Moving beyond access to examine affordability, skills, accessibility, local content and meaningful participation in the digital society.
Participants work in groups to analyse a practical governance challenge and identify competing stakeholder interests.
Understanding the opportunities, risks and policy questions emerging from AI deployment in Nigeria.
Examining algorithmic accountability, bias, privacy, transparency and the human-rights implications of AI systems.
Exploring how technological change is reshaping governance, regulation and participation.
Examining how policy and regulatory decisions affect innovation, rights, competition, security and the open Internet.

Participants work collaboratively on a contemporary Nigerian Internet governance issue and formulate policy responses.
Connecting Nigerian priorities with African and global Internet governance processes and institutions.
Understanding national, regional and global IGF processes and practical pathways for meaningful participation.
Participants assume different stakeholder roles and negotiate a complex Internet governance scenario.
Teams present their findings and recommendations, followed by moderated multistakeholder discussion.
